This allow users to change and swap it out easily to cater other users needs. It is highly recommended for people whom are an FPS gamer, by having this finger guards it helps FPS gamers to move faster and also glide around the mousepad without fingers having to accidentally rest on the mouse pad and got caught up when the mouse is moving in a fast pace.Īll this finger guards are attached by magnets. And for the side guards, I personally love to use both of the sides with finger guards. It is good for people whom have smaller hands. The scroller is a little rough as compared to my R.A.T 7 and G602. And lastly the wheel scroller just above the sensitivity setting button. Each press will trigged a Red, Green, Blue, Yellow and White LED. Press it and it will toggle between all the sensitivity settings that are set in the programme. The top reviews the left, right click, the centre button features a sensitivity profile settings. So the work around for it, is to remove the programmable commands that is registered to it.Īlthough I really wished that they will position it slightly below so that it won't be easily pressed. Most of the time I find myself pressing it without intention, especially when I'm lifting my mouse. And furthermore, when handling the mouse, both of my last fingers would rest on it, and hence it is really annoying when I'm gaming. It is far and in a very awkward position. Which this time round an odd position side buttons.

Right side of the mouse is actually the same as the left. It requires a small amount of depress force in order to register a click than usual. The side buttons are not those ordinary type of tactile feedback. With that I find it really good to click around when I was gaming with it on Far Cry 4. The left side of the mouse shows nothing much, and a almost perfect position for the programmable left side buttons. With that differences set aside lets bring back the MX780 and take a deeper look into it. Which imho is a much better and useful option than the R.A.T 7 has to offer.įor more on specifications on the GSkill MX780 you can take a look over here. But in terms of adjustability it is almost the same less the left side guard adjustability and the palm rest, instead of pulling it outwards or inwards unlike the R.A.T 7, it gives the adjustability for height. With all that being said, the GSkill MX780 is not really a good direct comparison in terms of specifications and functions with the Mad Catz R.A.T 7. Lastly the precision button found on R.A.T 7 for reducing the sensitivity when you snipe your enemy. The R.A.T 7 is able to adjust the left side guard outwards or inwards. There is a right or left scroll on the R.A.T 7 while the GSkill has none. There is no right side button for the R.A.T 7 The R.A.T 7 palm rest could only be extended out rather than raising it upwards and downwards unlike the GSkill has to offer. The R.A.T 7 left guard were not able to change to another type of side guard. Unlike the R.A.T 7, it has a much much wider body, and users will feel that their hands are much more spread apart which imho feels better handling than what GSkill has to offer. And hence I find that this mouse is more of a claw users rather than palm resting. GSkill tends to be lower than the R.A.T 7 and also narrower. However both mouse offerings could be the same, but in terms of handling it is a little different. And that is the Mad Catz R.A.T 7 gaming mouse. 1x hex screwdriver for raising the palm restĪt one glance of the accessories provided and the overall outlook of it, it reminds me of one particular mouse that offers almost the same features on the outside. This mouse being a "modular mouse" came with a few accessories. Once you open the flap of the box, it will review all the items that comes with it and the overall outlook of the mouse. It isn't the best out there, but it does its job in protecting the items inside.Īt the back of the box you will find out more about the mouse. The box is pretty much a standard affair thing. So how is GSkill gonna capture or win buyers heart with their first gaming mouse? Stay tune to find out more.
